• Appropriates $1,287,807 from the Education Trust Fund Advancement and Technology Fund to the Department of Education for technology tools and professional development services for classroom teachers.

• Appropriates $73,609,761 to public institutions of higher education including the Alabama Community College System, Auburn University, University of Alabama, and 18 other colleges and universities.

• Appropriates $198,716,398 to the Department of Education, local school boards, Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, Youth Services School Districts, Alabama School of Fine Arts, and Alabama School of Math and Science.

• Establishes the Digital Tools for Teachers Initiative to distribute technology packages including laptops, wireless tablets, projectors, and professional learning services to an equal number of teachers per school system statewide.

• Requires the State Superintendent of Education to submit a report on the initiative to the House Ways and Means-Education Committee and Senate Finance and Taxation-Education Committee by October 1, 2020.
