SB367 Summary

• Amends Section 45-2-244.183 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to redistribute privilege license tax revenues on leasing or renting tangible personal property in Baldwin County.

• Changes the distribution percentage from 10 percent to 12 percent for the Historic Blakeley Authority and other historic sites, with at least 10 percent for the Historic Blakeley Authority and up to 2 percent for other historic sites.

• Creates an 8 percent distribution to the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance for growing and improving the county's economy.

• Amends Section 45-2-220.05 to redirect additional recording fees previously distributed to the county legislative delegation office to the Baldwin County District Attorney's Office, with retroactive effect to June 1, 2000.

• Effective October 1, 2019, following passage and gubernatorial approval.
