SB395 Summary

• Adopts and incorporates 2018 Cumulative Supplements to volumes 3-22A and 2018 Replacement Volumes 7, 7A, and 12B into the Code of Alabama 1975, as edited and published by Thomson Reuters.

• Adopts 2018 Cumulative Supplements to local law volumes 22B-22K containing local and permanent laws for various counties enacted during the 2018 Regular Session.

• Makes six specific corrections to the code including renumbering internal citations in Sections 13A-8-14, 13A-8-15, 13A-9-13.1, 13A-9-46, renumbering Section 45-18-110.20 as Section 45-18-111, and correcting Section 45-37A-52.58 regarding council vacancies.

• Declares the adoption constitutes continuous systematic codification of the entire Code of Alabama 1975 and certifies Thomson Reuters has discharged its duties as Code Publisher.

• Provides that this act does not affect any 2019 session statutes and directs the Secretary of State to file and maintain custody of the cumulative supplements and replacement volumes in their office.
