• Local boards of education may sell commercial advertising space on the exterior of school buses.

• Advertising is prohibited on windows, above windows, between front and back wheels, or behind the back wheels, and cannot interfere with reflective materials or warning equipment.

• Advertising of alcohol, tobacco products, sexually explicit or offensive material, and political or electioneering advertising is prohibited.

• If advertising restrictions are invalidated on constitutional grounds by a court in a final order, all advertising must be immediately removed and the program becomes null and void.

• All revenue from advertising sales shall benefit the local board of education; boards cannot exclude specific advertisers or show exclusive preference for particular industries or business sectors.
