SB51 Summary

• Applies exclusively to the Town of Midway in Bullock County.

• Authorizes the town council to permit the sale of alcoholic beverages after 1:00 p.m. on Sundays through ordinance by properly licensed retail licensees of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.

• Grants the town council authority to regulate which retail licensees may sell alcoholic beverages on Sunday, whether sales may be for off-premises consumption, and any other aspect of Sunday alcohol sales.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
