SB80 Summary

• Increases the Contract Review Permanent Legislative Oversight Committee membership from five to seven members.

• Establishes committee composition as the Chairs of the Senate Finance and Taxation General Fund and Education Committees, the Chairs of the House Ways and Means General Fund and Education Committees, plus three additional Senate members appointed by the President of the Senate and three additional House members appointed by the Speaker of the House.

• Allows committee members to serve as long as they retain their qualifying office or during their appointed term, and if reelected to the same house without a break in service, during the succeeding legislative term until a successor is appointed.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
