Commends Brenda R. Coone for over 30 years of distinguished service to the State of Alabama Department of Revenue, beginning her career on February 1, 1988.

Recognizes her 10-year tenure as Director of the Motor Vehicle Division, where she administered motor vehicle title, registration, mandatory liability insurance laws, and dealer licensing, and developed the first statewide electronic title application system.

Honors her service as Deputy Commissioner from November 16, 2015 to December 1, 2018, including developing the Alabama eID verification system app that made Alabama the first state in the nation to offer taxpayer credential verification through driver licenses or ID cards.

Acknowledges her leadership in implementing call center services for taxpayers, coordinating transfer of fee and tax administration from other state agencies, and establishing check deposit scanning projects for secure taxpayer fund processing.

Recognizes her service in elected positions on state and international boards, including as Region II President of the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators from 2014-2015.
