Commends Mrs. Suzanne Girard Burnette for outstanding professional achievement upon her retirement as Executive Director of the Lee-Russell Council of Governments, a position she held since 1995.

Recognizes her over 30 years of experience in community and economic development in public and private sectors, including previous roles as Program Manager at Southern Development Council and manager of state and federal economic development revolving loan funds.

Notes her 1984 authorship of the State of Alabama's "Community Development Block Grant Program Management and Implementation Manual" and her educational credentials including a Bachelor of Science degree from Murray State University and Master's degree in Public Affairs/Administration from Kentucky State University.

Acknowledges her service on numerous boards and committees including Auburn Lions Club, Lee County Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together Board, Auburn and Opelika Chambers of Commerce, and the Alabama Council on Human Relations.

Directs that Mrs. Burnette be provided a copy of this resolution expressing warmest personal regard and best wishes for a rewarding retirement.
