Alabama's total exports in 2018 reached $21.3 billion, shipped to 191 countries, with two-way trade totaling $47.5 billion.

Alabama ranked 24th nationally in dollar value of exports, with transportation equipment being the largest category at $10 billion.

Aerospace product exports surged 28 percent to $2.4 billion in 2018, nearly $1 billion higher than in 2016.

Primary export products include vehicles, transportation equipment, agricultural products, chemicals, minerals, iron, steel, machinery, and paper products.

Legislature recognizes and commends international trade professionals, the Alabama Department of Commerce, Department of Agriculture and Industries, Port of Mobile, Export Alabama Alliance, and all businesses contributing to the state's record export performance.
