Commends Dr. Donald J. "Donnie" Salls of Bay Minette, Alabama, recognizing him as the oldest living University of Alabama football player at 99 years old.

Dr. Salls was born on June 24, 1919, in Trenton, New Jersey, and played fullback for the University of Alabama under Coach Frank Thomas, appearing in the Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl.

Served as head football coach at Jacksonville State University and remains the winningest coach in that program's history, winning three Paper Bowl games and seven conference championships while producing eight Little All-Americans and sending 12 players to the pro ranks.

Inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 1992 and received the National Alumni Association's Paul W. Bryant Alumni-Athlete Award at the Alabama-Oklahoma football game in 2003.

Recognized for his glowing personality, positive attitude, willingness to work hard, and love for people as an inspiration to all.
