HB320 Summary

• Adopts and incorporates into the Code of Alabama 1975 all general and permanent laws enacted during the 2019 First Special Session and 2019 Regular Session, including 2019 Cumulative Supplements to Volumes 3-17B, 19-21A, and 22A, plus 2019 Replacement Volumes 18, 18A, and 22.

• Adopts initial Volume 22L (Local Laws Marshall to Mobile Counties) and 2019 Cumulative Supplements to local law volumes 22B-22K for the first time into the Code.

• Makes three specific corrections: correcting Section 16-6G-7 to reference "four members" instead of "three members," updating Section 34-23-77 to reference "Medical Licensure Commission" instead of "State Board of Medical Examiners," and deleting erroneous language from Section 45-22-243.08 related to Cullman County tax distribution.

• Declares this codification constitutes continuous systematic codification of the entire Code of Alabama 1975 and specifies that this act does not affect any statutes enacted during 2020 legislative sessions.

• Requires the Secretary of State to file and maintain custody of the authenticated 2019 Cumulative Supplements and Replacement Volumes, and permits certification of portions upon request and payment of applicable fees.
