Cherokee County Sheriff may charge a fee up to $50 for fingerprinting persons for passport identification, employment purposes, or other personal reasons.

No fee may be charged if fingerprinting is performed for law enforcement purposes or for persons applying for pistol permits.

Collected fees shall be paid to the Sheriff's Law Enforcement Fund in Cherokee County for law enforcement purposes available upon requisition of the sheriff.

Prior charging and collection of fingerprinting fees are ratified, validated, and confirmed as of the act's effective date.

The act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
