Applies only to Sumter County and establishes a $20 service of process fee for personal service of process by the sheriff in civil and criminal cases in district and circuit courts.

Fee applies to each document requiring personal service of process by the sheriff, whether service is successful or attempted.

Court officials designated by law shall collect the service of process fee and remit collected fees to the sheriff for deposit into the Sheriff's Law Enforcement Fund.

Sheriff may use monies generated from this fee for law enforcement purposes and to discharge duties of the sheriff's office, but the fund cannot replace or diminish any other established source of income for the sheriff or jail operations.

Effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
