Applies only to Monroe County and imposes an additional $10 court cost in all civil and criminal cases, including traffic cases, in the district, circuit, and juvenile courts.

Proceeds from the additional court costs shall be paid to the Monroe County Commission and earmarked specifically for security at the Monroe County Courthouse.

Judges retain authority to waive or remit the court costs upon sworn showing of substantial financial hardship.

Additional court costs are not intended to diminish or replace any other funding sources for the office of the presiding circuit judge.

Effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
