• Prohibits any public employee from participating in a strike during a state of emergency declared by the Governor or Legislature under Alabama Code Section 31-9-8.

• Defines "public employee" as any person employed at the state, county, or municipal level of government or their instrumentalities, including governmental corporations and authorities.

• Defines "strike" to include any concerted stoppage of work, slowdown, or interruption of operations or services by employees, or concerted refusal to work related to collective bargaining agreements or employer demands.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
