Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency must include information on how to respond to law enforcement traffic stops in the Alabama Driver's Manual and all other materials used to prepare applicants for driver's license or permit examinations.

State Department of Education must require all driver's education courses offered at public high schools to include instruction on how to respond to law enforcement traffic stops.

Required instruction must cover law enforcement officer expectations for where drivers should pull over, proper driver conduct during traffic stops, and non-aggressive physical and verbal presentation.

Required instruction must emphasize that the law enforcement officer is in charge of the traffic stop and drivers should comply with officer requests.

Act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
