Amends Section 16-40A-2 of the Alabama Code to revise sex education and human reproductive process curriculum requirements in public K-12 schools.

Requires all sex education programs to emphasize abstinence from sexual intercourse as the only completely effective protection against unintended pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and HIV, and as the expected social standard for unmarried school-age persons.

Mandates course materials include age-appropriate and medically accurate information on contraceptive reliability, financial responsibilities of pregnancy and childbirth, sexual abuse laws, peer pressure resistance, and parenting skills.

Removes language stating that "homosexuality is not a lifestyle acceptable to the general public and that homosexual conduct is a criminal offense" from required curriculum content.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
