Commends Ms. Beverly Youse for 36 years of service as Executive Director of The House of Ruth, Inc.

The House of Ruth, Inc., opened in October 1982 and serves survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence across nine counties.

Ms. Youse holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Christopher Newport University and a Master of Science in Agency Counseling from Troy State University, which awarded her Outstanding Graduate Student and Alumni awards.

Ms. Youse served as charter board member of the Alabama Coalition Against Rape, holding positions as Treasurer (1 term), Vice President (2 terms), President (3 terms), and Legislative Chairperson (11 terms).

The resolution recognizes her dedication and achievement of numerous accomplishments for nearly four decades at The House of Ruth, Inc.
