Commends Larry Lewis Raby for 28 years of distinguished service to the Alabama Legislature as a Legislative Attorney with the Legislative Services Agency upon his retirement.

Raby is a native of Marengo County and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Alabama State University in 1975 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1978.

Raby has held professional positions including Staff Attorney at Legal Services Corporation in Tuscaloosa, Assistant Attorney General for the State of Alabama, and General Attorney for the Town of Whitehall.

Raby holds professional licenses to practice before the Southern, Middle, and Northern Federal District Courts of Alabama and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and is affiliated with the Alabama Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and Montgomery County Bar Association.

House adopted the resolution on February 25, 2020, and the Senate adopted it on March 3, 2020.
