Commends Mr. Larry Fillmer for his dedicated service as Executive Director of the Auburn Research and Technology Foundation and Auburn University Research Office of External Engagement and Support.

Fillmer serves as liaison between Auburn University Research and internal and external organizations on matters of coordination, promotion, and financial support of the university's strategic economic development initiatives.

Graduated with High Honors from Auburn University's School of Business in 1969 and earned a Master's Degree in Industrial Management from the University of Alabama; served 18 years at Amdahl Corporation before joining Auburn University in March 2005.

Served 7 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Captain, was named President and CEO of Amdahl IT Services and Fujitsu Technology Solutions in November 2001, and was selected as a 40 of 40 Graduate by the College of Business.

Currently serves on the Board of Directors of the East Alabama Medical Center and the Administrative Board of Auburn United Methodist Church, chairing its Finance Committee.
