Commends Dr. Daniel Joseph Roth, Principal of William E. Burkett Multi-handicapped Center, for more than 30 years of service as a Special Education Instructor and Administrator in Jefferson County Schools.

Recognizes his leadership in developing comprehensive educational programs for students with learning disabilities and other special needs.

Acknowledges his work with the Alabama Department of Education as an Education Specialist, where he developed program guidelines for the Alabama Occupational Diploma, transition services for families, and provided technical assistance to local education agencies.

Notes his receipt of the Second Mile Teacher Award from Irondale Elementary School in 2000.

Honors Dr. Roth's outstanding professional achievements and contributions to special education through this House resolution.
