Mr. Wright began his law enforcement career with the Dadeville Police Department in 1970, serving in Patrol from 1970 to 1976.

Promoted to Sergeant in September 1976, Assistant Chief in September 1979, and Chief in January 1983; graduated from Jacksonville Police Academy in 1980.

Served as Constable of Beat 7 from 1997 to 2009 and has held positions with Russell Lands Security and Elmore County since 1997; serves as Tallapoosa County Deputy since 2003.

Married to June Hamby for 53 years, father of one daughter (Jennifer Osborne), and grandfather of two grandchildren.
