Prohibits tampering with, conspiring to tamper with, or attempting to tamper with consumer products (including food and drugs) or their labeling with reckless disregard for risk of death or bodily injury, establishing this as a Class B felony.

Creates enhanced penalty of Class A felony when tampering causes serious bodily injury or death.

Establishes Class B felony offense for tampering with consumer products with intent to cause business injury or rendering labeling materially false or misleading.

Defines key terms including bodily injury, serious bodily injury, consumer product, and labeling for purposes of the statute.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and Governor approval.
