• Exempts micro markets and vending machines from Department of Public Health regulatory authority, removing their jurisdiction over food and beverages sold through these vendors.

• Transfers regulatory authority for micro markets and vending machines to the Department of Agriculture and Industries, except where specified in Code of Alabama sections 11-51-98, 20-1-7, 21-1-41, and 40-12-176.

• Effective date is the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval or automatic enactment.
