SB 211 Summary

• Amends Section 36-14-1 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to authorize the Secretary of State to provide digital copies of bills, resolutions, and memorials electronically to the Legislature instead of physical copies.

• Eliminates the requirement that the Secretary of State bind all bills, resolutions, and memorials upon the adjournment of each legislative session.

• Removes the previous requirement to receive 10 copies of legislative documents from the state printer and maintain physical bound copies in the Secretary of State's office.

• Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
