• Authorizes immediate family members of military service members who died on active duty to obtain a personalized Alabama Gold Star Family license plate for an additional annual fee of $50.

• Allows personalized plates to include details such as the service member's name, rank, military branch, date of death, or other relevant military service information, as determined by Department of Revenue rules.

• Makes the Alabama Gold Star Family license plate design permanent and exempt from the standard five-year redesign requirement under existing law.

• Requires applicants to present DD Form 2064 (Overseas Death Certificate), DD Form 1300 (Report of Casualty), or a notarized affidavit from the Alabama Department of Veterans' Affairs to verify relationship to the deceased service member.
