SB235 Summary

• Adopts and incorporates into the Code of Alabama 1975 all general and permanent laws enacted during the 2019 First Special Session and 2019 Regular Session, including 2019 Cumulative Supplements to Volumes 3-22A and 2019 Replacement Volumes 18, 18A, and 22.

• Initially adopts Volume 22L (Local Laws Marshall to Mobile Counties) and 2019 Cumulative Supplements to local law volumes (22B-22K) into the Code of Alabama 1975.

• Makes three specific corrections: corrects Section 16-6G-7 to reference "four members" instead of "three members," updates Section 34-23-77 to reference "Medical Licensure Commission" instead of "State Board of Medical Examiners," and removes erroneous language from Section 45-22-243.08 related to Cullman County tax distribution.

• Declares this adoption constitutes continuous systematic codification of the entire Code of Alabama 1975 and expressly provides that this act does not affect any 2020 session statutes.

• Requires Secretary of State to receive and file authenticated volumes of supplements and replacement volumes, which shall remain in the Secretary's office and be certified upon request for a specified fee.
