Jackson County Commission shall maintain a county law library in the county.

A $2 law library fee shall be assessed in each case filed in the Circuit Court and District Court of Jackson County, collected as court costs by the circuit clerk.

Law library fees collected monthly shall be deposited by the circuit clerk into the county treasury by the tenth day of the following month, credited to the County Law Library Fund.

The presiding circuit judge of the Thirty-eighth Judicial Circuit shall administer the county law library and authorize expenditures from the County Law Library Fund.

The act supersedes and repeals three prior local laws: Act 472 of 1976, Act 785 of 1973, and Act 511 of 1965, and becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval.
