Creates Circuit Judgeship Number 8 for the Twenty-third Judicial Circuit (Madison County), Circuit Judgeship Number 4 for the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit (Autauga, Chilton, and Elmore Counties), and Circuit Judgeship Number 6 for the Twenty-eighth Judicial Circuit (Baldwin County).

New judgeships become effective October 1, 2020 and shall be filled in the manner appropriate to fill vacancies in their respective circuits.

First judges appointed to these positions shall serve pursuant to Section 153 of the Alabama Constitution of 1901.

Compensation for new circuit judges follows Chapter 10A of Title 12, Code of Alabama 1975, with no salary supplement or expense allowance for judges first appointed after October 1, 2001.

Judicial Resources Allocation Commission may reallocate only the first circuit judgeship vacancy after this act's effective date; the second, third, and fourth vacancies shall result in those judgeships terminating, after which normal reallocation procedures resume.
