Marshall County Commission may appropriate and expend county funds for operating expenses of the Office of Coroner, including computers, telephone service, equipment, supplies, office space, and other approved expenses.

County commission may provide the coroner and deputy coroner with motor vehicle operation expenses or furnish a county vehicle for use.

County commission may authorize the coroner to appoint one or more deputy coroners to perform duties in the coroner's absence and provide compensation for deputy coroners.

County commission may provide an additional expense allowance for the coroner and adjust the coroner's salary effective on the coroner's next term of office, with all expenses and salary paid from the county general fund.

Act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
