• Amends Section 16-60-111 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to clarify term limits for appointed members of the Board of Trustees of the Alabama Community College System.

• Specifies that appointed members may not serve more than two consecutive full terms of office, excluding any partial terms to which they have been appointed.

• Maintains existing board composition of the Governor (ex officio president), seven members appointed by the Governor (one from each congressional district), one State Board of Education member (ex officio, nonvoting), and one at-large member.

• Preserves confirmation requirements by the Alabama Senate and existing eligibility criteria for board members.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
