SB332 Summary

• Increases the maximum number of entertainment districts that Class 1 municipalities may establish from five to 15 within their corporate limits.

• Each entertainment district in a Class 1 municipality must have at least four licensees holding a manufacturer's license that conducts tastings or samplings, a restaurant retail liquor license, an on-premises alcoholic beverage license, or other retail liquor license.

• Each entertainment district may not exceed one-half mile by one-half mile in area but may be irregularly shaped.

• Permits patrons of entertainment district licensees to exit with open containers of alcoholic beverages and consume them anywhere within the district confines, but prohibits entry into other licensed premises with open or closed containers acquired elsewhere.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
