Proposes a constitutional amendment allowing elected and appointed Walker County officials, including the sheriff, to participate in the Employees' Retirement System instead of a supernumerary program.

Prohibits any new Walker County official from assuming a supernumerary office after the amendment's effective date.

Allows current supernumerary sheriffs to cease participation in the supernumerary program and purchase service credit in the Employees' Retirement System for time previously served.

Permits current Walker County officials holding office at ratification to purchase service credit in the Employees' Retirement System for their current service, provided they forgo assuming a supernumerary office.

Excludes judges, district attorneys, legislators, constables, school board members, and officials elected from judicial circuits from the amendment's scope.
