Russell County's Revenue Commissioner receives an additional expense allowance of $12,000 per annum, effective the first day of the month following the act's passage.

The expense allowance is in addition to all other compensation and salary, paid in the same manner and from the same funds as the commissioner's regular salary.

The $12,000 allowance is treated as salary for retirement benefits purposes, with the same percentage contribution deducted and paid into the ad valorem tax officials retirement program.

Upon expiration of the incumbent revenue commissioner's term, the annual salary increases by $12,000 per annum and Section 1 of the act is repealed.

The act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
