SJR19 Summary

• Commends Dr. Adam B. Clemons, principal of Piedmont High School in the Piedmont City School System, for being named Alabama's 2020 High School Principal of the Year by the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals (AASSP).

• Dr. Clemons has 19 years of education experience, including 12 years as an administrator, and has served as principal of Piedmont High School since 2013.

• Dr. Clemons holds a Bachelor's Degree from Auburn University, a Master's Degree in Education from Jacksonville State University, and an Education Specialist and Doctorate Degree from Argosy University.

• The award includes a trip to Washington, D.C., to participate in the NASSP Principal of the Year Awards Program and an office makeover by Interior Elements; Dr. Clemons will be recognized at the CLAS Convention on June 16, 2020, and at the AASSP/AAMSP Fall Conference in November 2020.

• Dr. Clemons is married to Patty and has five children; they are members of the First Baptist Church of Piedmont.
