Commends the Huffman High School Basketball Team for winning the 2020 AHSAA Class 6A Championship with a record of 32-3.

Team defeated Bessemer City 56-48 on February 29, 2020, at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, overcoming an 11-point third-quarter deficit by outscoring opponents 29-10 in final 12 minutes.

Championship represents the school's first basketball title and first state title in any sport since winning a baseball championship in 1982.

Recognizes Athletic Director Carlos Hammonds, Head Coach Steve Ward, and Assistant Coaches Barry Bearden, Kevin Johnson, Donald Blackmon, and Eddie Hardy, Jr. for developing the championship team.

Honors 12 team members by name for their athletic and academic achievements and thanks Principal John Lyons and school faculty and staff for their support during the 2019-2020 season.
