• Records the death on August 12, 2019, of former State Forester C.W. "Bill" Moody at age 89

• Recognizes Mr. Moody's service beginning in 1970 when he became Alabama's State Forester and built the Alabama Forestry Commission (AFC), establishing its motto "Making Alabama a Better Place for People Through Forestry"

• Acknowledges Mr. Moody's creation and development of the TREASURE Forest Program (Timber Recreation Environment and Aesthetics for a Sustained, Usable Resource) and establishment of the TREASURE Forest Advisory Committee, which later became the Board of Directors of the TREASURE Forest Landowners Association

• Notes that Mr. Moody's legacy includes an annual award presented in his name to TREASURE Forest landowners who exemplify sustainability and usability principles, and his impact on forestry and natural resources in Alabama over 23 years

• Extends heartfelt sympathy to Mr. Moody's family on behalf of the Alabama Legislature
