Proposes a constitutional amendment to delete the provision that gives probate courts in each county general jurisdiction over orphans' business.

Modifies Section 6.06 of Amendment 328 (now Section 144) of the Alabama Constitution by removing language that grants probate courts jurisdiction over orphans' business.

Retains probate court jurisdiction over adoptions, letters testamentary and administration, guardianships, and other jurisdiction as provided by law.

Amendment becomes effective upon approval by a majority of qualified electors voting in a statewide election held according to constitutional procedures.

Election officials must assign a ballot number and include a description of the amendment's substance with Yes/No voting options on the election ballot.
