Sheriff of Lauderdale County may charge reasonable fees for administrative services including fingerprinting, reports, record copies, and photo identification cards.

Sheriff may not charge fees to law enforcement agencies requesting services for law enforcement purposes or individuals applying for pistol permits.

Fee amounts may not be increased without majority vote approval from the county commission.

Collected fees shall be deposited periodically to the sheriff's law enforcement fund for expenses related to sheriff's office operations.

Act is retroactive to January 2015 and becomes effective immediately upon passage and Governor approval.
