• Requires redaction of family or household members' addresses and phone numbers, and any address revealing the confidential location of a domestic violence shelter.

• Permits disclosure of redacted addresses orally in the judge's private chambers without public presence if necessary to determine jurisdiction or venue.

• Allows elderly persons of sound mind or body to hire legal counsel to represent themselves in elder abuse petitions, in addition to existing representation options.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
