Amends Section 13A-11-61.2 of the Alabama Code to redefine "guard" requirements for facilities restricting firearm possession, limiting the term to individuals whose principal employment purpose is protecting persons or property from criminal activity, who wear a security uniform, and who carry firearms in official duty performance.

Replaces the requirement for "continuous posting of guards" with a requirement for "two or more armed security officers" as defined under Section 34-27C-1, along with other security features such as magnetometers, key cards, biometric screening, or physical barriers.

Maintains existing firearm prohibitions in police stations, prisons, psychiatric facilities, courthouses, and facilities hosting school or professional athletic events, with exceptions for permit holders and law enforcement.

Allows employees to possess lawfully owned firearms in privately owned motor vehicles parked in public or private parking areas, provided they comply with Section 13A-11-90 requirements.

Violation of the firearm prohibitions constitutes a Class C misdemeanor; the act becomes effective the first day of the third month following passage and governor approval.
