Washington County Commission Chair compensation increased by $1,000 per month as a monthly expense allowance, effective the first day of the month following passage.

Chair must work on-site at commission offices on a full-time basis as a condition of receiving the additional compensation.

Chair is elected annually in November by majority vote of commission members present and voting.

District commissioners of Washington County receive mileage reimbursement at the Internal Revenue Service deductible rate for miles driven within Washington County performing commissioner duties, effective October 1, 2021.

Mileage reimbursement is paid from each district's monthly funding and requires monthly submission of a daily log of all miles driven.
