• Prohibits candidates and poll watchers from assisting voters with voting in both municipal and nonmunicipal elections.

• Makes municipal election assistance laws consistent with nonmunicipal election laws by eliminating requirements that voters state reasons for needing assistance.

• Allows voters to receive assistance from any individual except their employer, employer's agent, a candidate, a poll watcher, or union officer/agent.

• Requires voters requesting assistance to specifically name the individual providing assistance and sign the poll list; the assistant must certify they meet eligibility requirements.

• Provides mobility-disabled voters and voters over age 70 the right to move to the front of the voting line upon request, with chief election officials required to post public notice of this right.
