Removes the one-year deadline for Judicial Retirement Fund members to notify the Board of Control of the Employees' Retirement System when transferring creditable service and contributions from prior membership in the Employees' or Teachers' Retirement System.

Allows members who were in the Employees' or Teachers' Retirement System for up to one year before joining the Judicial Retirement Fund to transfer their creditable service and accumulated contributions without a time constraint.

Eliminates the specific deadline language that previously required notification either within one year of becoming a Judicial Retirement Fund member or, for members on May 19, 1993, within one year after that date.

Makes nonsubstantive technical revisions to update Section 12-18-110 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to current statutory style.

Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
