Establishes a Chair position for the Blount County Commission to be elected countywide at the 2022 general election and every six years thereafter, serving six-year terms.

Chair must be a resident and qualified elector of Blount County for at least one year prior to taking office.

Chair's salary equals the base salary of the Blount County Revenue Commissioner, paid in the same manner.

Chair shall preside over commission meetings and vote only in case of a tie vote among district commissioners.

Chair duties include promoting economic development, establishing intergovernmental partnerships, serving as county representative on boards and committees, and performing other duties determined by majority commission vote.

Judge of probate shall no longer serve as chair upon the first chair's appointment and swearing in, though this does not affect the judge's current salary.
