Commends Dr. Don C. Killingsworth, Jr. on being named the 13th President of Jacksonville State University.

Dr. Killingsworth is a native of Alexander City, Alabama, and alumnus of Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Geography and a Master's Degree in Counseling.

He holds a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama and served as Student Government Association President during his undergraduate years.

Dr. Killingsworth advanced through various positions at Jacksonville State University including Coordinator of Academic Advisement, Director of Government Relations, Chief Government Relations and Community Engagement Officer, and Interim President beginning in October 2019.

The resolution recognizes his distinguished leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and his role as Chairperson for the Council of University Governmental Affairs Representatives.
