Mourns the death of Mr. Hugh "Deacon" Jones, who died on January 27, 2021, at age 88.

Recognizes Jones's accomplishments as a left-handed baseball pitcher at Woodlawn High School who led his team to the 1949 State Championship and earned a scholarship to the University of Alabama.

Honors his military service with the 82nd Airborne, career as a sales representative and Vice President/General Manager of Nasco, Inc., and over 40 years as a Sunday School teacher.

Notes his leadership role as President of the A Club and founder of the A Club Classic Golf Tournament in 2002.

Extends sympathy to his surviving wife, three children, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and sister.
