Recognizes Sergeant Evans's heroic actions during a reconnaissance mission where he sacrificed himself by absorbing the full impact of an enemy mine detonation, saving his comrades from probable death or injury

Directs appropriate authorities to erect and maintain signs and markers specifying this memorial designation

Requests the Department of Transportation to determine the cost of fabricating and erecting signs, with actual erection to occur upon receiving funds from non-state sources
