AL HR15

Amends nine rules (32, 35, 51, 56, 57, 58, 71, 74, and 93) of the Alabama House of Representatives.

Rule 32: Clarifies voting procedures using electrical roll call system, with viva voce voting as backup; allows previous roll calls to be reused on uncontested local bills and resolutions with motion approval.

Rules 35, 57, 58, 71: Expands authority to remove disorderly persons and members from House chambers and other legislative locations for conduct contrary to health and safety; allows Speaker to direct security removal and to clear areas upon written request of eleven members.

Rule 51: Adds provision allowing members to request recognition to speak via virtual voting tablet in addition to physical speak button at desk.

Rule 93: Updates reference from Mason's Manual of Legislative Procedure 2010 Edition to 2020 Edition for matters not addressed in House rules.
