HR 157 commends broadcast journalist Andrea Ramey for outstanding professional achievement in the Gulf Coast and across Alabama since 2006.

Ramey was named Best TV Reporter by the Alabama Associated Press in 2010 and by the Alabama Broadcasters Association in 2013, with investigative work nominated for three Emmy Awards.

The Humane Society of the United States recognized Ramey's 2011 investigations exposing dog fighting and organized cockfighting operations in Mobile County, Alabama.

In 2021, Ramey received the distinct honor of being named Alabama's Reporter of the Year by the Alabama Broadcasters Association.

The House of Representatives honors Ramey for her continued excellence in broadcasting and journalism and her service to the Gulf Coast and State of Alabama.
